These products contain the same whey proteins: whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate and whey peptides (whey hydrolysate). So you are definitely not missing out on anything if you go all natural here. These are both premium quality protein blends from Glanbia.
The main difference between the 2 products is that the regular Gold Standard 100% Whey contains a mixture of natural and artificial flavours while Gold Standard Natural 100% Whey contains natural flavours only. Also, the natural version of this protein contains rebaudioside A, which is a natural sweetener extracted from stevia. The standard version contains acesulfame potassium, an artificial sweetener.
It is also interesting to note that Gold Standard Natural 100% Whey contains lactase, the enzyme that digests lactose or milk sugar. This will make it easier for anyone with lactose intolerance to tolerate. In addition, the natural version contains Aminogen, a natural blend of protease enzymes. These enzymes literally break down protein chains in the whey making the product more bioavailable. This means more results for the same amount of protein, which is good news.
